The Café’s Glow

<span class='p-name'>The Café’s Glow</span>

As dusk descended early, the golden glow of a small café spilled onto the cobblestone street. The warmth and chatter within beckoned me from the cold. Stepping inside, I was greeted by the comforting scent of coffee and the soft hum of conversations blending like a winter symphony.

An older woman, seated by the window, caught my eye and gestured to the empty chair across from her. “Join me,” she said kindly. I hesitated but accepted, curious about her quiet presence. She sipped her tea and looked outside, her gaze lingering on the drifting snowflakes. “The world is quieter in winter,” she said, her voice gentle. “It invites us to listen, to notice the small wonders around us.”

Her words accompanied the warmth of my own cup as we sat in companionable silence. The snow outside, the golden light within, and the soft rhythm of our breaths wove a moment of shared awareness—a reminder that even amidst the bustle, the present is always waiting to be embraced.
